Our Bikes

Here are a selection of photo's of our bikes. Paul has the 2002 Aprilia RS 50 and James has the Motohispania Furia 50. These bikes may only have a tiny engine but the race chassis geometry (on the RS) and narrow tyres mean the bikes have great handling and rapid steering. Especialy the Furia. Engine wise the bikes have a claimed 12bhp but the real figure is more likely to be around 9-10bhp not much but the bikes only weigh 89kg and we're going to be working at reducing the weight even further. (Eating less)

2002 APRILIA RS

Pauls bike : Aprilia RS50 - Paul has had this bike since September 2002, it is his first bike as he has only been riding a few months and is still pants on a bike but this will eventually change, we hope. (Paul pokes James in the eye)

"I've had one minor accident on it...Whizzing along, barely going 30mph and I came across some very slippery black ice that I didn't see. The bike just went from beneath me and sent the bike and myself sliding across the road. Looking up I saw James coming towards me ... not good lol. All is fixed now. A few scratches remain as you can see in the picture above."

A company that does graphics for vans, motorbikes etc is doing new stickers for my bike. The stickers that were damaged in that nights escapade will be taken off and replaced. If you were to buy the Aprilia RS50 stickers for the side fairing it would cost you around £150! A total rip off. They are probably made for about £10 at the most, and thats how much I'm getting my new ones for, thanks to that company!

** Pictures of the new stickers will be up soon, I will compare them to the orignals **

The stock exhaust for the RS50 tends to rust and the paint comes off if not looked after properly. Riding in the winter didn't help my exhaust so I took it off and resprayed it. James came up with the idea of leaving the end bit bare metal so that I have someting to polish. So thats what we did. You can see the results above. The bare metal has to be cleaned with metal polish regulary or it will rust. But it's worth it because it has started to turn different colours, similar to the irridum screens and exhaust you can buy. Its not as good but it makes the bike different to everyone elses.

2002 MOTOR-HISPANIA FURIA

James' bike : Motohispania Furia 50. At first James hated this bike. He didn't want to ride it because it was very slow. But now without the restriction in the exaust James has grown to love this lil bike. It handles like a beaut. Better than the RS I would say. He has had many bikes but this is the best to look at but has the least 'go'. James has been riding since he was 6 years old. His first bike was a Yamaha SR125 6 years ago but since then he's had the DT125 and the RM125 and has ridden all sorts of other bikes.

** More Pictures Comming Soon **

James has had one small accident on it, also on ice. Hardly any damage unlike the RS. It had a broken clutch lever and a few minor scratches on the exaust and bodywork. To repair it: £3. How much is took to restore the RS: £60 lol.

What a plum... coming back from the hair dressers looking windswept, James rides down his path and collides with a drawer from his mums bedroom ready to be burned. (You should have seen the fire we lit... beds, tables, spare wood...it all went up with the aid of some motion lotion.) Anyways he hit it, bounced off the wall then through his garden fence lol. Scuffed his left panels up good and proper but luckily for James he works in a motorbike shop. We spent some time after that putting a new gate in the hole in the fence.

** Pictures of this lil escapade will be up soon **

The standard front wheel guard had to go. A supermoto bike is nothing without a small guard. So James' one was whipped off shortly after buying his bike. You can probably see the new one above. The sticker above the headlight has also been taken off and polished. It looks very smart now!

SUZUKI RM

James' bike : Suzuki RM125 - The only way to describe this bike is manic and the only way to ride it is flat out , I only got this recently as I was given it by a friend who is trading up to a 250 it has been utterly reliable all the time he has had it and is a great bike in very good condition considering it was raced and is now 11 years old will be getting some new fork seals and brake pads very soon .

YAMAHA DT R

James' old bike : Yamaha DT125R - James got this bike in September 2001 and has enjoyed every minute spent on it . It has proved to be prone to engine trouble (1x piston , 2x head gaskets , 1x rebore) but it has a hard life as its used off road . One problem though is that the powervalve servo has been removed by a previous owner so it has a big flat spot in the lower revs but is fine when it gets going and remains sound.
